Director Jonathan Levine (Warm Bodies, 50/50) is hard at work on his next feature, an upcoming comedy that will star both Seth Rogen and Charlize Theron as the film’s leads.
The synopsis of the film goes something like this:
Fred Flarsky (Rogen) is an unemployed journalist, whose misfortune and self-destructive ways lead him to collapse into a state of depression; he sets out to pursue his babysitter and childhood crush (Theron), who now just so happens to be one of the most powerful and unattainable women on Earth.
Seth Rogen is no stranger to director Jonathan Levine’s work, the two having previously collaborated together on both 50/50 and 2015’s Christmas comedy, The Night Before. The script is written by Dan Sterling, who also penned the screenplay for Rogen and James Franco’s 2014 stoner-comedy The Interview.
The movie is slated to release in early 2019, just in time for Valentine’s Day on February 8.
