New set photos from the Deadpool sequel have made their way online, featuring a grim-looking Josh Brolin as the time-traveling mutant, complete with skin-tight suit and shopping cart in tow. Needless to say — it’s pretty hilarious.

Scheduled to hit theaters next year, Brolin joins the second installment as Cable, the time-traveling son of X-Men leader Cyclops. Cable has been a fan-favorite of comic-book readers since the early ’90s, his inevitable appearance teased during a Ferris Bueller-inspired post-credits scene at the end of the first film. Brolin joins Ryan Reynolds, who returns as everybody’s favorite “Merc with a Mouth,” along with Zazie Beetz who will play the luck-manipulating mutant Domino; Jack Kesy (FX’s The Strain) is slated to play the film’s central villain, which is rumored to be Irish mutant Black Tom Cassidy.
Returning to their respective roles from the first Deadpool are Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, and Stefan Kapicic once again lending his voice to the steel-skinned X-Man Colossus.
Deadpool 2 superhero-lands in theaters on June 1, 2018.
